Admission Requirements
You must have completed a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, including one year of courses in general biology and general chemistry, and at least one semester of genetics for the master’s program in Applied Ecology and Conservation Biology. Additionally, for the master’s program in Wildlife/Fisheries Biology, you need at least one semester each of calculus, organic chemistry, and statistics.
Your transcripts must also indicate that you have completed at least one course from the following list: Anatomy or Morphology, Ecology, Physiology, Genetics, Cellular or Molecular Biology, Evolution or Systematics, Natural Resource Management, Developmental Biology, or Environmental or Earth Science.
If your course work does not meet these requirements, you will take undergraduate courses to eliminate deficiencies. Note that these courses will not be counted toward the 36 credit hours required for the degree program.

Transfer Students
Students transferring to FSU from other universities may receive a maximum of 6 transfer credits for courses in which they have earned a grade of B or better after individually assessed for program equivalency.
